The Clear Lake Lions recently helped the Clear Lake Fire Dept. purchase necessary equipment for the department.

During the course of fighting fires and other events, firefighters’ gear can become contaminated with potentially life-threatening carcinogens. In addition, the protective fabric used in their suits requires special cleaning.

Extractor and drying systems decontaminate firefighters’ gear while maintaining the integrity of their suits.

In need of such a system, the Clear Lake Fire Dept. turned to the Clear Lake Lions, who were instrumental in helping them purchase a new extractor and drying system for the department.

The department expressed thanks for the club’s help.
