The Clear Lake Fire Dept had a good turnout and a beautiful day for their 11th annual open house Saturday. 

 

Around 125 residents stopped by the event for a free lunch and numerous activities, including fire extinguisher and LUCAS CPR demonstrations, photo booth, crafts, fire truck rides, a visit from a North Memorial helicopter and a chance to try out the water hoses. 

 

Attendees could also register to win one of two fire extinguishers, two bicycle helmets and two Fliker scooters. 

 

The department would like to thank McDonald’s Meats, Brothers Fire and the community for their support and for attending. Firefighter Kari Mechtel also extended a thank you to all the firefighters and their families for helping out during the event.
