The Becker Fire Dept. will be holding their annual open house Saturday (Oct. 11) at the fire hall. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year’s theme is, “Smoke Alarms Save Lives” and the fire fighters will have numerous demonstrations and activities for people of all ages.
Visitors to the open house can expect to see fire trucks navigating through the neighborhoods of Becker with riders anxious to see how it feels to be in one of the big red machines.
Fire prevention brochures and information will be handed out all day and a kitchen grease fire demonstration is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
North Air Care ambulance will likely have a helicopter landing in the morning and a blow-up, bouncy castle will again entertain the youngsters and parents alike.
Firefighters will be on hand to answer questions and show off their vehicles and equipment and free coffee and donuts will be provided for all who attend.
