CARE annual golf tournament a great success

CARE (Community Action Respecting Elders) hosted their annual golf fundraiser Thursday, June 8th at Stone Creek Golf Course in Foley. The event was a day of sunshine and laughter. Many local businesses were generous sponsors and donors for the golf tournament. CARE has a goal of supporting the elderly in our area. Aside from the fun of golfing, the annual event serves as a great opportunity to get together with friends and neighbors, and meet others from the area.”

A special thank you goes out to the generous sponsors, donors, and golfers, who gave in support of CARE’s mission to serve seniors. $7,700 was raised. The CARE Board of Directors and staff are very grateful to all who come out to make the event such a success. The goal of CARE is to work together to help aging members of our community live longer, happier, and more meaningful lives.
