Handmade construction paper hats donning their heads, Becker Primary School first-graders held animated concerts for family and friends last Thursday and Friday afternoons, giving their all to showcase the thankfulness the concert was themed after.

All the People Said Thanks was both the name of the concert and name of the first song, after which students continued the theme with Things I’m Thankful For.

Battery-operated tea lights were held to add ambiance to the song You Raise Me Up in the dimmed gymnasium, and after the lights went back up some of the students paired up to perform a short dance during Turkey Tango.

The students had fun with Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! singing with great exuberance, as they did with the concert’s finale, Thankful For the U.S.A.

The concert was conducted by music teachers Erika Bakke and Ruthanne Eldred.
