BL Block Party is rockin’ fun!

The 14th Annual Big Lake Block Party was held Aug. 17 at McPete’s Bar and Grill and the event went off without a hitch to the hundreds who entered the festivities.

The Block Party is meant to be a fun filled family day and it did not disaapoint the attendees. There was unlimited mini-golf, unlimited bowling, tons of vendors and booths, challenging games, thought-provoking contests, valuable prizes and lots of food to purchase. Some food and treats were free (Jonny Pops and cotton candy) and the entertainment included dancers, Tae Kwan Do, the Big Lake Robotics team and the local  cheerleaders. There was also the ever-popular Bike giveaways, and so much more!

The water balloon (sponge) fight was well received as well as the face painters. Kids got the chance to climb in and around the local fire trucks and rescue units — where they asked questions and pretended to be all grown up as emergency service providers.

The event was hosted by the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce
