A Palmer Township man died Tuesday night after he was hit by a vehicle while bicycling, according to Sheriff Joel Brott.

Ronald Harvey Otremba, 60, was bicycling on 150th Avenue Southeast in Santiago Township when a pickup truck hit him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup’s driver, a 16-year-old girl, was not injured. She stopped at the scene and was cooperative with investigators.

The collision happened at 6:55 p.m. on a road with narrow shoulders. Investigators believe that Otremba was in the east lane of the road between the fog line and the center line when he was hit.

The investigation will continue.
