The Becker Robotics Booster Club will host its first-ever “All-district Robotics Meeting” in the Performing Arts Center at BHS Thurs., Oct. 29 beginning at 7 p.m., according to robotics coach Alex Jurek.  The program will showcase the many activities associated with the robotics programs in Becker for 2015-16, and it is expected to last for around 45 minutes, Jurek said. 

 

Invitations have been sent to all team members, mentors, parents, and the members of the FIRST® Robotics LEGO® League teams in the Intermediate and Middle Schools, The Tech Challenge teams in the Middle and High School and the Robotics Competition team at BHS.

 

The meeting is designed to showcase what is happening in the Becker district in robotics, Jurek said, and will highlight the ways in which students are being positively impacted by the activity. 

 

Each program is supported through High Tech Kids MN, and classroom curriculum for the upper levels is provided by VEX EDR. These programs are cost effective and can offer students incredible learning opportunities, Jurek said.
