The Compassion Connection in Becker is partnering with Sherburne Co. Health and Human Services for the third year to provide a holiday party and Secret Santa gifts for children currently in foster care in the county. And for the second year they’re also partnering with them to host the annual holiday party.

The Compassion Connection’s primary focus is to be a resource to and assist those who might need assistance with food, clothing, household goods, basic essential daily needs and support. Their specialized focus is to assist local foster/adoptive families.

Last year the partnerships provided gifts for 48 children, and the number is year is expected to be higher as the number of children in foster care is increasing and at an all-time high.

Wish lists are collected from kids in foster care in Sherburne Co., after which Secret Santas are matched to them to shop for and bring their gifts to The Compassion Connection; the gifts are delivered to the families before Christmas. 

Studio 5 in Becker is partnering with The Compassion Connection for the second year by providing a giving tree that the foster teen wish lists will hang from. People can stop by Studio 5, choose a list, then purchase and return the items back to the business.
