A group of 35 area cancer survivors and their guests attended the annual “Survivors Celebration Dinner” hosted by the Relay for Life® of Becker Tuesday evening at Faith Lutheran Church, according to organizer Cory Whiting.

 

The event began with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed by a grilled pork dinner at 6 p.m., served by the volunteer team on hand for the event.  Among those were Renee Woodard, Nancy Weber and Kate Steinbach from the American Cancer Society, while the “kitchen crew” included Janis Fagin, her daughter Erin, Kristi Enerson and Fran Seeley, with Chuck Fagin handling the cooking chores on the outdoor grill.

 

Each of the survivors present received the official Relay for Life of Becker 2015 T-shirt.  The 2015 event will be held at the Becker Community Center on Friday, July 11 and Sat., July 12 from 6 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. in the parking lot.
