Becker Police Arrest Two From Little Falls For Drugs And Alcohol

Two people from Little Falls were arrested after drugs and alcohol were found in a vehicle pulled over by Becker police officers Oct. 16.

At approximately 9:22 p.m. last week, Becker officers got a complaint of a vehicle weaving and driving at varying speeds on Hwy. 10 westbound from Sherburne Ave.

Becker police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop with the assistance of the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Dept.

While speaking with the driver, officers observed an open bottle of alcohol on the floor. The vehicle was searched and numerous hypodermic needles and methamphetamine were found.

The driver, Dustin Joseph Maurer, 26, of Little Falls, was arrested and booked at the Sherburne County jail for driving after suspension, allowing open bottle and possession of hypodermic needles.

Officers also arrested the passenger, Sara Kay Witucki, 28, of Little Falls. She could be charged with possession of a controlled substance, obstructing legal process, open bottle, possession of hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia.

Maurer has a history of being in trouble with the law, including being convicted for a fifth-degree felony substance crime in March for being in possession of heroin.
The crime was committed in October of 2013.

Maurer was sentenced to 35 days in jail, with credit for time served, fined $135 and has supervised probation for five years. He was also ordered to complete chemical dependency evaluation and treatment within 30 days of that crime in March.
