According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a two-vehicle accident in Becker Monday resulted in the death of a 91-year-old man from Becker.

Lowell Louis Wolff, 91 and his wife, Betty Lou were traveling eastbound on Hwy. 10 when their vehicle collided with a 2022 Hyundai Tucson, driven by 25-year-old Cole Daniel Johnson of Thief River Falls. The cross street was Edgewood Street and the accident caused Lowell to perish while his wife was sent to St. Cloud Hospital with life-thretaening injuries.

Johnson had no injuries in the crash and all drivers and riders were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The accident occurred at 1:09 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21.

Assisting at the scene were the Becker PD, Becker Fire/Rescue, Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office and MnDOT.
