Becker Kwik Trip celebrates Grand Opening

On Nov. 2, 2023, the City of Becker and the Patriot announced that Kwik Trip was coming to Becker.  On, Feb. 19, 2024 construction began at 12776 Rolling Ridge Rd. SE.

Fast forward to July 25, 2024, and the much-anticipated Grand Opening of the recently constructed Kwik Trip had finally arrived and people were ready.

Five a.m. Start

Alex Kanable, Store Leader, and his team were ready to meet the five or six people who were already in the parking lot awaiting the doors to open to grab some Glazers Donuts.

Kanable explained that he had also been waiting for this moment for a long time.

“I’m really excited to be here and to be a part of the community,” he said.  “Everyone who’s come seems really excited.”

Nine a.m.

It was nine a.m. when this reporter stopped in and every parking space was full.  The store was abuzz.  Samples were being passed out for Nitro and Iced Coffee, one of the many deals offered during the Grand Opening week that ends August 4.  A 24 oz drink was $1 compared to its regular price of $2.99.

Even after four hours the store still looked brand new.  Employees were everywhere, ready to shine up counters and clean up spills, ready to check out the many customers who had found what they needed.  People meandered throughout the store taking it all in.

August 1

Kwik Trip has announced its ribbon cutting event to be held on Thursday, August 1 at 11 am.
