Becker, Big Lake Schools celebrate homecoming

Both Becker and Big Lake High Schools recently held their homecoming weeks. The Patriot congratulates the students who were elected as homecoming royalty this year. 

 Becker

Becker’s homecoming court was ruled by King Nick Berglund and Queen Za’Nya Baker. Kabir Bhakta served as prince and Adeline Kent was crowned princess. The other homecoming royals included Carter Callahan, Alexa Williams, Landen Goebel, Serena St. Denis, Ethan Anderson, Jazlyn Toedter, Luke Bordson, Alayna Moeller, Ty Hodel, and Tessa Maruska. 

The student body had a packed week, beginning with coronation Sunday, Sept. 19. A week of dress-up days followed: Monday, Pajama Day; Tuesday, Country Vs. Country Club; Wednesday, Monochrome Day; Thursday, Tye Dye Day; and Friday, School Spirit Day. Friday also featured a pep rally and Powder Puff Game. The homecoming dance took place after the evening’s football game.

 Big Lake

Big Lake’s homecoming royalty was led by King Brett Bordwell and Queen Masyn Deckard. Other homecoming royalty included Hayden Thieke, Olivia Stockham, Trey Wagner, Mikaela Christensen, Christian Noble, Cassie Howe, Johnny O’Brien, and Jazmin Acuna Diaz.

During the week, the student body participated in several dress-up days, including: Monday, Class Color Day; Tuesday, Jersey Day; Wednesday, Crazy Hat Day; Thursday, Hawaiian Tourist Day, and Friday Blue and Gold Day.
