Students at both Becker and Big Lake High Schools walked out on Monday to protest police brutality. The walkout was part of a statewide demonstration in response to the recent shooting in Brooklyn Center, as well as the Derek Chauvin trial. 

Some students at Becker brought the issue a little closer to home, chanting, “Becker, do better!” The chant was a response to recent incidents of bullying, affecting minority students at the school.
