Basketball and pickleball courts break ground

(Editor’s Note: The following article was submitted by the City of Becker).

Friday, June 4, Becker city staff, members of City Council and civic partners broke ground on a new Community Basketball and Pickleball Court project at the west greenspace of the Becker Community Center.

Approved by city council June 1, this project is slated to bring a marquee, full-court basketball court and two pickleball courts to the Becker community.  All part of a larger campus design that will integrate with the now, under construction, Splash Pad.

Partners in the project are: the City of Becker, Becker Youth Basketball Association, Knife River, Cornerstone Concrete and the Becker Lion’s Club.

The project is scheduled for completion in late July.
