CHRISTOPHER JOHN BANGS, 31 of Maple Grove was arrested and booked on multiple charges including attempting to flee from Becker Police at 100 mph speeds.

Another High Speed Pursuit In Becker Results In Arrest

Last Saturday at approximately 3:37 p.m., the Becker Police Department received a traffic complaint of a vehicle appearing to be driving in excess of 100 mph, weaving in and out of traffic.
 
The vehicle was recognized and an unidentified Becker Police Officer attempted to stop the speeder at Co. Rd. 11 and Hwy. 10.
 
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, traveling at speeds in excess of 100 mph while passing vehicles on the shoulder of the roadway on his way towards Monticello on Co. Rd. 11.
 
The vehicle entered the City of Monticello in Wright County, at which time the driver stopped the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene.
 
Officers were able to apprehend Christopher John Bangs, 31, Maple Grove after a short foot pursuit. Bangs was transported and booked into the Sherburne County Jail for felony fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, felony fifth degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine located in the vehicle), and DUI.
 
No one was injured in the pursuit.
 
The Becker Police Dept.  was assisted by the Sherburne Co. Sheriff’s Office, Wright Co.  Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
