The Sherburne County SUP Coalition is distributing a series of educational mailers over the next four months to local parents/guardians of school aged students in grades 5th – 12th to help address the misperceptions around youth marijuana use and provide parents with tips on how to start conversations early and often. Parents play a major role in preventing substance use and ones views on alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs can strongly influence whether one’s child will perceive a drug is harmful or not.
The first postcard in their Talk Early Toolkit series was delivered to parents throughout the first week of October. Additional mailers will be sent in the beginning of November, December, and January. Learn more at www.sherburnesupcoalition.org/talk-early-talk-often.
