Potential 2022 State Legislative Priorities Discussion.

Bruce Messelt, County Administrator

Reviewed and discussed with State Lobbying Team Potential 2022 Legislative priorities and strategies. Ann Lenczewski, Angie Huss, Sarah Psick and Bob McGillivray of Lockridge Grindal Nauen P.L.L.P.  were present via WebEx. Ann provided updates from the House and Senate to the Board. Angie provided updates on the Senate and its leaders and redistricting throughout the state. County Administrator Bruce Messelt reviewed the current proposed Legislative Priorities with the group.
Public Works Director Andrew Witter spoke on the Transportation/Public Works priorities and the changes that were put in for 2022. Witter also spoke briefly about the Parks items.  Parks Director Gina Hugo spoke on Park acquisition project. Bob McGillivray assisted in answering the Commissioners Commissioner's questions regarding the parks items. Amanda Larson spoke regarding cost share exemption for individuals committed as Mentally Ill and Dangerous (MI&D).
