NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CITY OF BECKER 

COUNTY OF SHERBURNE 

STATE OF MINNESOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Becker, County of Sherburne, State of Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 7th, at approximately 6:00 pm at the City of Becker Council Chambers in the Becker City Hall, 12060 Sherburne Avenue, Becker MN 55308, on the provision of providing a business subsidy on the purchase price of the cost of City owned land to provide economic development assistance to T.J. Potter Trucking, Inc., a transportation company, for construction and expansion of their existing operations in the City of  Becker.Theproperty is currently owned by the City of Becker and is known as Lot 1, Block 1, Energy Park Seventh Addition, located in the Becker BusinessPark.

The financial assistance will be a business subsidy under Minnesota Statutes, Section 116J.993 to 116J.995 (the “Business Subsidy Act”). A summary of the terms of the business subsidy is available for inspection at CityHall.

Any person with residence in the City or the owner of taxable property in the City may file a written complaint with the City. If the City fails to comply with the Business Subsidy Act, no action may be filed against the City for failure to comply unless a written complaint isfiled.

All interested persons may appear at the hearing and present their views orally or prior to the meeting in writing.
