BECKER TOWNSHIP

NOTICE OF BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization of the Township of Becker in Sherburne County, Minnesota, will meet at the Becker Township Hall, 12165 Hancock St., Becker, MN at 9:00 A.M. on April 7, 2020, for the purpose of determining whether taxable property in the township has been properly valued and classified by the assessor. 

If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns.  If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local Board of Appeal and Equalization.  The board will review your assessment and may make corrections as needed.  Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.

During this state of emergency, we will have various options for attendance.  If you are unable to attend in person due to illness, immunity issues or quarantine, it is imperative you contact either the assessor or Town Clerk so your options for meeting attendance may be reviewed.  To contact the Town Clerk, email lucinda@beckertownship.org or leave a voice message at 763-261-5301.
