Public Hearing Notice
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clearwater City Council will hold a Public Hearing at the regular City Council meeting to be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The Public Hearing is to consider adoption of a resolution modifying the city’s Economic Development Authority (EDA) Enabling Resolution. The proposed modifications are intended to (1) authorize more than two councilmembers to serve on the EDA; (2) authorize the EDA to exercise the powers of a housing and redevelopment authority under Minnesota Statutes, sections 469.001 through 469.047 and of a city under Minnesota Statutes, sections 469.124 through 469.134; and (3) memorialize the EDA’s authority and obligations related to audits, issuing bonds, and levying taxes. The meeting will be held via Zoom web conference unless the governor’s COVID-19 emergency restrictions are lifted prior to May 11. If the restrictions are lifted, the meeting will be held at Clearwater City Hall, 605 County Rd 75 NW, Clearwater, MN, and social distancing protocols will be followed. Persons who wish to comment on this matter may do so orally at the Public Hearing or by submitting written comments prior to the meeting.
