REAL ESTATE TAXES ARE DUE MAY 15TH
Sherburne County Auditor/Treasurer Diane Arnold would like to remind taxpayers that the first half of their Real Estate taxes for 2020 are due on or before May 15th. Postmarks are due on or before the 15th, but a Penaltywill be assessed after that date. Please note that most Post Offices now use a servicing center so mail is not being postmarked until two to three days after pick up so please plan accordingly as by Statute we must go by the postmark for penalty. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic – The Government Center is CLOSED to face-to-face transactions until May 18th, 2020 Per Governor’s orders. Our County Commissioners have approved of reducing the penalty amount charged to 1% from May 16 to June 30thafter that date the penalty goes to 2% for the month of July.
