NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

VACANCIES ON THE PARKS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Big Lake is presently seeking applicants to fill two (2) vacancies on the Big Lake Parks Advisory Committee (PAC). Each vacancy is a 3-year term.

The Parks Advisory Committee meets at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month and is an advisory group to the City Council regarding maintaining existing parks and trails, creating new parks and trails, and recommending developers either dedicate parkland or donate cash in lieu. The Committee makes recommendations to the City Council who considers the information when making final approvals.

Any City resident interested in serving on the Parks Advisory Committee should submit a letter of interest that includes a description of the applicant’s employment and educational background which may be relevant to the position as well as their reasons for applying and their aspirations for the future of the Big Lake parks and trails system.
