BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

This represents a summary of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of Big Lake Public Schools #727. A complete set of minutes will be on file at the District Office and on our website at www.biglakeschools.org upon Board approval.

I. CALL TO ORDER

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 727, Big Lake Schools, was called to order on April 23, 2025.

II. ROLL CALL

All Board members were present.

III. APPROVE AGENDA

A motion passed to add grant the city an easement discussion as an agenda item after VII. DONATIONS and approve the amended agenda.

IV. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Chair Reasoner and the Board led the Pledge of Allegiance.

X. APPROVE 25-26 FOOD SERVICE MANAGEMENT CONTRACT RENEWAL WITH CHARTWELLS

A motion passed to approve the contract as presented.

XI. REPURPOSING OF COMMITTED FUNDS

A motion passed to approve to uncommit $29,120 from the Liberty Shelter fund and move it to the Athletics/Activities assigned fund balance.

XII. RESOLUTION FOR NON-RENEWALS OF TEACHING 

CONTRACT

School Board Student Representative, Alexis Gosewisch, gave her monthly report to the board.

XVI. SUPERINTENDENT REPORT

Superintendent Tim Truebenbach gave his monthly update to the board. Graduation is on May 30, 2025 at 7:30 PM in the high school gym.
