2024 Street and utility improvement project

CITY OF BIG LAKE BIG LAKE, MN
RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Proposals for the work described below will be received by the City until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read at the City Council Chambers, City of Big Lake, 160 Lake Street North, Big Lake, MN 55309.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes the construction of approximately:
13,500 SQ YD Mill 1” To 2” Asphalt Pavement
1,600 TON Pave 2” Asphalt Pavement
700 LIN FTReplace Concrete Curbing
650 SQ FT Replace Concrete Sidewalk Panels
30 EACH Reset and Adjust Sewer Casings
1,500 SQ FT Restore Lawn Boulevard
2,160 SQ FT Crosswalk Multi-comp Markings (City Wide)
10,000 LIN FT Solid and Skip Striping (City Wide)
together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with Plans and Specifications. This project is subject to Responsible Contractor Certification.
COMPLETION OF WORK: All work under the Contract must be complete by 9/30/2024.

TO OBTAIN BID DOCUMENTS: Complete digital project bidding documents are available at www.questcdn.com or City of Big Lake. Please contact QuestCDN.com at 952-233-1632 or info@questcdn.com for assistance in free membership registration, viewing, downloading, and working with the digital project information. Digital bid documents may also be purchased for $25.00 from the City by contacting City Engineer Layne Otteson at Lotteson@biglakemn.org or 763-251-2984. Paper bid documents are available from the City for $50.00.
BID SUBMITTAL: A bid shall be submitted via courier or in person to the City no later than the date and time prescribed. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted or have purchased bid documents from the City Engineer.
BID SECURITY: A Proposal Bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of City of Big Lake shall accompany each bid.
OWNER’S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in their discretion, the interest of the Owner would be best served thereby.
