NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

a public hearing will be held at the Clear Lake City Hall building located at 7684 1st Ave West on April 1, 2024 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of approving the City of Clear Lake’s Wellhead Protection Plan.  This public hearing is consistent with the Wellhead Protection Rule (4720.5330, subpart 7.   Any persons needing further information and or to make a public comment on this request may do so in person at the hearing or in writing to the city clerk.

Written comments must be received prior to the hearing date. A copy of the full plan can be emailed to you upon request at City Hall, hours Mon.-Thur. 8:30-4:00 PM.

 The Board of Appeal and Equalization for the City of Clear Lake will meet on April 15, 2024 at 6:00 P.M., at the Clear Lake City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.

If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed. Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.
