ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Bids close at 1:00 P.M. (local time) on Thursday, February 17th, 2022
By order of the School Board of the Big Lake School District, sealed bids for construction of the Sound Systems at Big Lake Middle School in Big Lake, MN will be received at the District Office of the Big Lake School District at 501 Minnesota Avenue, Big Lake, MN 55309, Attention: Angie Manuel – Director of Business Services, until 1:00 PM (local time) on Thursday, February 17th, 2022, in accordance with the specifications set forth herein and the “other” terms, conditions and instructions to the specifications. At that time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids received after the time stated will not be considered. The bidder assumes the risk of any delay in the mail or on the handling of mail by employees of the school district. Whether the bid is sent by mail or by means of personal delivery, the bidder assumes responsibility for having their bid clocked in on time at the place specified. Fax or telephone amendments will not be accepted at any time. Bidders shall submit bids in duplicate on the forms provided in the Project Manual. No oral, facsimile or telephone bids or modifications of bids will be accepted. All sealed bids are to be labeled with the project name.
You may view and order bid documents by going to the Franz Reprographics web site at www.franzrepro.com , and selecting the Franz Public Plan Room. Please login with your email address and password or register if this is your first time in the Plan Room. Select the project from the list of public projects. Once you have selected the project, please review the Bid Details for information on ordering documents.
The Project consists of electrical and technology systems for new sound systems at Big Lake Middle School.
Each bidder shall submit with the bid, a cashier’s check or bid bond, made payable to Big Lake School District, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount of its bid.
All vendors entering into a contract with the district for $10,000 or more are to provide a Labor and Material Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract. Bonds must be furnished within 10 days of notice of award of the Contract. Contract is subject to compliance with the applicable Schedule of Prevailing Wage issued by the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry. Provide all State required Responsible Contractor Forms with your bid.
There will be a pre-bid meeting and walk through on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Big Lake Middle School. The meeting will take place at the front office.
Bids may not be withdrawn for thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids without the consent of the Big Lake Public Schools. The School Board reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities in the bidding procedures, and to act in its best interest.
