The Organizational Meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 727, Big Lake Public Schools was called to order on January 6, 2022. - ROLL CALL

A. Chair: Reasoner elected Chair.
B. Clerk: Scales elected Clerk.
C. Treasurer: Sixberry elected Treasurer. - BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE
A motion passed to approve the meeting dates. - DESIGNATION OF OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER
A motion passed to designate the Patriot as the official newspaper. - DESIGNATION OF DEPOSITORY FOR SCHOOL FUNDS
A motion passed to designate Old National Bank and any other as determined as depository of school funds. - COMPENSATION FOR SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS
A motion passed for Board members compensation to increase from $65.00 to $75.00 for regular/special meetings and committees. Meetings exceeding four hours will remain at $110.00. Yearly stipend for Board Chair will increase from $600.00 to $700.00 and from $400.00 to $500.00 for Treasurer. - APPROVE USE OF FACSIMILE SIGNATURE STAMP FOR BOARD MEMBERS SIGNING CHECKS

A motion passed to approve the Director of Business Services, Accountant, Compensation Coordinator, Payroll Specialist, and Superintendent to make electronic fund transfers on behalf of Big Lake Schools. - COMMITTEE REPRESENTATION
A motion passed to approve the Board committee and Board representation assignments. - LEGAL COUNSEL
A motion passed to approve the legal counsel of Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney on an as needed basis by the Superintendent or Board’s discretion. - SET MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT RATE
A motion passed to approve the IRS mileage reimbursement rate of 58.5 cents per mile for 2022. - MEMBERSHIPS IN ORGANIZATIONS
A motion passed to approve the memberships to Minnesota School Boards Association, Schools for Equity in Education, Central Minnesota Education Research and Development Council, Minnesota State High School League, and Resource Training and Solutions for 2022. - ADJOURNMENT
