Notice is hereby given that the Becker Town Planning Commission will hold their monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday June 9, 2014 at Becker Town Hall, 12165 Hancock Street. The Planning Commission will hold the following public hearings at this meeting:
7:00 p.m.: Construction of a Communications Tower facility owned and operated by Verizon Wireless Conditional Use Permit and Variance Request Public Hearing. Buell Consulting, Inc. (representing Verizon), applicant, and Donald & Janet Aleckson, et.al. owners, have submitted an application for a conditional use permit for the construction of a 180 foot tall communications tower located on property at 19127 109th Street SE, in Becker Township. Applicant and property owners are also requesting a 38.8 square foot variance to the maximum 300 square foot accessory building size to allow for installation of a 338.8 square foot equipment shelter next to the tower.
7:05 p.m. Request to Rezone the property located at 15542 137th Street SE in Becker Township from Agricultural to Industrial 1 Public Hearing. Al and Bobbi Scherping, applicants, and First National Bank of Elk River, owner, have requested to rezone the property located at 15542 137th Street SE in Becker Township from Agricultural to Industrial 1. The requested rezone would allow applicants to operate a manufacturing business on the property.
