Since the beginning of 2017 many citizens and I have been watching the new mayor and city council to see whether or not they will fulfill their campaign promises to remove the blight along Hwy. 10, attract new businesses to the 1st street corridor and reduce the city’s budget. 

 

One question I have is why is the city continuing to employ a department head that was arrested and charged with DWI that was recently plead down to careless driving? It is my understanding if other  city employees had committed a similar offense that they may have been disciplined up to and including termination according to the city’s employee handbook.
