I want to bring to your attention an error in Bill Morgan's reporting of the facts regarding the OSA Petition in Becker. The petition was not started by me, Judy Balin nor my husband, Lucky Balin. I did not, nor did Lucky collect one signature or knock on one door to obtain a signature for this petition.

 

The petition was well underway before Lucky and I were asked to sign the petition. Lucky and I gladly signed along with many more than 479 citizens. The citizens collecting the signatures were not aware that the persons signing had to be registered voters as well as live within the City of Becker. Those citizens in Becker Township could not sign, however many did sign and could not be counted.  

 

As a respected businessman, I find it way beneath you as an editor of the local paper to print something that is blatantly false without knowingly the facts. It was also  extremely tacky for you to print our address, especially since the information you printed is incorrect. In my dealings with you and your staff while I was employed by Randy Peake as the manager of the Club House, at Pebble Creek, I found you to be fair minded and cordial. What happened!  

 

I would be happy to discuss this with you anytime, however at the very least I expect a retraction of the mis-information printed. Feel free to call me at the number below.   If I do not hear from you, Lucky and I will stop into your office to speak to you  in person.
