Thanks To School Community

(Editor’s Note: The following column was submitted by Becker Public Schools.)

As the Thanksgiving holiday draws near, the Becker Public School District would like to take a moment to express our appreciation for the support of our wonderful community. We are extremely thankful for the collaborative spirit, resources, and dedication that have improved our educational environment and made it a great place for learning for our students.

Here at Becker Public Schools, we cherish the strong relationships we have cultivated with local businesses and community organizations. These connections have allowed us to provide our students with extraordinary opportunities, resources, and experiences that enhance their education and personal growth. We sincerely appreciate the generosity and commitment of our community partners who have played an integral role in shaping our students’ educational journeys.

Our local and regional businesses have generously contributed to our students’ success by providing the time, talent and treasure for our students’ learning and experiences.  We are deeply grateful for their dedication to empowering our students and equipping them for a successful future.

In addition, we extend our gratitude to the members of the broader community for their invaluable support. Whether it’s for supporting our recent referendum, which will pave the way for new and improved, safe, and updated learning spaces, or for volunteering in our schools, or participating and attending our events, your involvement is appreciated.

As we come together to celebrate Thanksgiving, we also want to underscore the significance of our parents and guardians and their continued involvement in their child’s educational journey. Family engagement is a cornerstone of a student’s academic success and overall well-being. We appreciate the ongoing support and engagement of our families, who are instrumental in creating a supportive and nurturing home-school partnership.

By actively participating in their child’s education, parents can contribute to their academic progress, nurture their emotional well-being, and cultivate a love for learning. We encourage each of you to continue taking part in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and volunteer opportunities. Together, we can ensure that each student receives the support, guidance, and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.

At Becker Public School District, our mission is to develop self-directed learners to thrive in a changing global community. We firmly believe that education extends beyond the classroom walls, and our community partnership are vital for the development of our students.

As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, let us express our gratitude to the community, businesses, and parents who have been instrumental in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for our students. We are thankful for their support, dedication, and belief in the power of education.
