Letters To The Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

    It appears that two individuals seem to have misunderstood my opposition to “equity” in the Big Lake School system.  I am against equity as it is applied within the confines of Critical Race Theory, which I believe I clearly defined in my letter.  I am not against assessing individual children and providing them instruction and service tailored to their individual needs.  I think that is a given when it comes to excellence in education, but I guess I should have been more specific.  Help each individual reach their fullest potential, not categorizing them by race and understanding that individual outcomes are not equal or guaranteed.  That’s what the point of my letter was.   I would advise everyone who has children within the public school system to start researching the racist, Marxist ideology of Critical Race Theory.

Sincerely,

TO THE EDITOR:

   How long can Minnesota continue unlimited spending and expect us to pay for it? Welfare in Minnesota averages $30,479 per recipient, which roughly equals $15 per hour.  This costs each taxpayer $4,088 per year or about $2 per hour.  By comparison, in neighboring states:

• North Dakota  $19,957,  $10 per hour;

• Iowa $18275,  $9 per hour;

• Wisconsin $17,809,  $8.50 per hour;

• South Dakota $10,678,  $5.50 per hour.

The national average is $17,127. Minnesota is one of only 12 states to charge an estate tax.  We impose a rate of 13-16%, and only Washington and Hawaii are higher.  Estimates from 2015-2016 indicate Minnesota lost $232,500,000 in revenue due to people moving assets out of the state to avoid MN’s rates. The Department of Human Services spent $3,700,000 on Medicaid to dead people from 2014-2016. Minnesota spent $100,000,000 over nine years on a computer program (MNLARSA) that they ended up dropping. The Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board loaned a company doing fundraising for the Democrat Party $250,000 and was not paid back.

When are we going to stop voting for people who think money grows on trees and appointing boards who have no business sense but are good contributors to political candidates?

TO THE EDITOR:

   Our world is not divided by race, color, gender or religion.  Our world is divided into wise people and fools.  Fools divide themselves by race, gender, color or religion.  Wise words from Nelson Mandela.  We now have this exact scenario.  Too many people in this country hate this country for whatever reason and most are in power in DC and called progressive democrats.  Prove me wrong!  It all starts with tearing down statues, dumbing down our historical education and perverting our history, both good and bad as unworthy.  I might add, the Democrat platform is race racism and white supremacy.  Race, racism, white supremacy.  Race, racism, white supremacy!  Are we better than that?  Absolutely and it is time to wake up to the Reality of what the progressive democrat party is doing to this nation.  Are we wise or fools?  Choice is yours.

TO THE EDITOR:

   Are we awake yet? The CCP (China Communist Party) is trying to destroy us from within. They are NOT our friends. Thousands of Dr Fauci documents have been released, because of a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) & we have learned the CCP Wuhan lab appears to be where the Covid-19 virus (bio-weapon) originated. It also appears Fauci funded the CPP Wuhan lab for this research with our tax dollars & then suppressed the information. Also, a CCP scientist applied for a covid-19 vaccine patent in February 2020 prior to the world wide outbreak! The WHO (World Health Organization), Fauci, the media & many others withheld & lied about this information. They also down played & blocked therapeutics that has positive results if taken early, such as hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin & others. Fauci even wrote a 2005 study about hydroxychloroquine’s positive results on Sars type viruses. Thanks to the current administration we are now funding the WHO again!  Many of us have lost friends & relatives, plus our freedoms & livelihood. They all have blood on their hands! This is nothing more than dirty politics & greed in the name of science, when is enough going to be enough? This is NOT a Republican or Democrat issue, it is an American issue!
