Thank you to all who helped out and attended this past Sunday’s Becker Lions Pancake Breakfast. Special thanks to the MN Twins Mascot, TC, for his entertaining presence. Going above and beyond the call of duty in answering a last minute request for help were the Girl Scouts from Troops 731 and 582, and Boy Scout Troop 29. Thanks, kids. You lived General George Patton’s challenge to “Always do more than is required of you.”
The Lions appreciate the Wellness Wagon offering basic health screenings again at this year’s breakfast. If your results encouraged follow up with your health care provider, please do so.
Thanks also to Cargill and all who donated to the breakfast and silent auction.
All of the money raised will be applied to purchasing American made, American flags to be displayed throughout Becker on national holidays like Memorial Day and the 4th of July. Thanks to your generosity the Lions will present the city of Becker with a check for $612 at its April 7 meeting at the Becker Community Center beginning at 7 p.m. If you’d like to know more about the Lions, you’re invited to join us.
