Letters To The Editor

In the spring afternoons about 3:30 the blue nine at Pebble Creek fills up with teens just out of school who can’t wait to hit the sunshine and beauty and a few golf balls. They’re on the putting green, waiting off the 1st tee.

Families, parents and youngsters, the retired elderly all enjoy the sunshine and vitamin D, getting exercise, keeping teens off drugs and alcohol, taking the kinks out of old limbs.

How many are affluent? Not so many.

The golf course is just as therapeutic as the community center and there would be more who could and would enjoy it if residents were able to get a discount with a membership as many other courses in the area do.

Long ago medics found that bleeding the sick wasn’t so healthy. So why bleed the community, rob people of their homes and what will replace it that is as beautiful and environmentally more sound, more townhouses?

Does the community center generate profit? Many residents do not use the ball parks, or the community center. Should we rid ourselves of these benefits also?

Change management from golf pros and politicians and seek business management who know how to run a golf course efficiently.
