TO THE EDITOR:

Where are you, Mr Emmer?  In 2020 you condemned President Trump and insurrectionists for attempting to deny Biden’s election.  You were there, scrambling to safety as intruders stormed the Capital attempting to invalidate our votes.  Now in a power position as majority party whip, your job, as you describe it, to pass the Republican agenda.  You’ve lost sight of representing  constituents, even foregoing town hall meetings. Where are you, Mr Emmer?  Trump was elected in 2024 with the help of a $290 million campaign contribution from Elon Musk who is now part of the big tech oligarchy, enjoying his status as one of Trump’s top advisors and head of DOGE [Department of Government Efficiencies].  His slash and burn approach only creates chaos and fear with little transparency and no proof of results. Trump, his cabinet and allies are working the playbook to establish Trump as the Imperial President where separate and equal branches of government do not matter. And you, Mr Emmer, have pledged your blind allegiance to Trump and his efforts to be the ruler.  We know you have a backbone: we saw you stand upright numerous times during Trump’s recent address to Congress.  Upon taking office you pledged to uphold the US Constitution.  Where are you, Mr Emmer?
