TO THE EDITOR:
What charges (high-speed crash) were brought against Beck’s Pub as it appears the bar violated the Minnesota State law which prohibits serving alcohol to someone who is intoxicated? Police can check bar receipts to find how many drinks were served and the alcohol content consumed by the defendant before he left the bar. A bar can purchase a breath analyzer for less than $200 to readily determine intoxication. It appears that the bar is at least partially responsible for the death involved.
