Becker archery kicks off the season strong

The Becker Bulldogs Archery team kicked off the season with strong performances at two recent tournaments.

Earlier this month, 56 Bulldogs traveled to Roseville to compete in the Beacon Tournament. The team earned first place in High School 3D, fourth place in High School Bullseye, and third place in Middle School Bullseye.

Individual highlights from the Beacon Tournament included top 10 finishes by Sam Lumley, Quinn Williams, Landon Blum, Ethan Luethmers, Drake O’Brien, Leah Lutgen, Rylee Carter, Luke Carter, Ava Oeding, Maggie Stanley, Leland Mohler and Lorelai Schmidt, reflecting strong performances across all age levels.

The Bulldogs followed that success with another solid showing at the OWL Tournament in St. Paul on Sat., Jan. 17, where 44 archers competed and 12 athletes shot personal best scores. Becker finished fifth in both the High School and Middle School divisions.

Several individual archers earned top 10 finishes in the OWL Bullseye competition, including MaKenna Hanson and Landon Blum at the high school level. Middle school archer Hunter Nelson also placed, along with elementary archers Drake Dowty, Cullen Willhite and Maggie Stanley, highlighting the depth of talent within the Bulldogs program.

The season continues January 24 as over 200 Becker archers head to Foley to compete on Saturday and Sunday. The Bulldogs appreciate the continued support from the Becker community as they aim true, shoot strong, and proudly represent Becker.
