Letters To The Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

STEWARDSHIP of the Garden. Satan tempted Eve and Adam in the garden stirring up their pride.  Now too dignified to remain content as they were—they wanted more—to be like gods themselves.   In Genesis, God describes their responsibility/stewardship within creation. Parents, do you or your children even notice the roadside trash? Do they ask about it or are they so accustomed to it that it is ignored? Have we lost so much self respect that we can’t clean up our own property/roadways?  Farmer’s fields are littered.  Hwy. 10 from St. Cloud to Elk River and Co. Rd.11 Monticello to Hwy. 10 are disgraceful. Have we become as gods—too dignified to clean them up or even notice them? Present road maintenance solution: chop 1,000 pieces into 10,000.  (Now try to pick up that mess).  Legislators, why are you silent on the matter? We all are responsible for the litter and its clean-up. Bringing up the subject to a county commissioner, I was told there are more important things to consider.  (“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in that which is much.”  Lk 16:10)
