I was very impressed and relieved to read last weeks Letters to the Editor from Debra Carlson and Judy Benson. The election was a great success and our country will be able to breathe a sigh of relief after being lied to for four plus years.

I have closely watched the political atmosphere throughout Trump’s term. It scared me to hear his berating, and see the Republican party support his lies, illegal and outrageous actions. I also personally experienced Republican friends who supported the lies and way out theories about President Biden and the Democratic party.

We as a country need to take care never to let a man like Trump in power again. He tried, not unlike Hitler, to take over our government. There are consequences for bad behavior as any toddler is taught while throwing a tantrum. We should expect more from our elected leaders.

I appreciate this chance to tell my opinion. The storming of our Capital by the criminals was over four years encouraged by Trump as I think he knew, he couldn’t win an honest, fair election. Biden is a honest experienced President and with God’s help can mend our country.
