TO THE EDITOR:

I want to give a big Thank You to everyone who supported the “Becker Super Senior” team for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and other dementia’s.  $2000.00 was raised through many generous donors.  In 2016 Becker was designated an “ACT on Alzheimer’s Friendly City” and today our community came through again. With the dollars raised, the Alzheimer’s Association can continue to provide care and support to families during their difficult times while also advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately a cure.

It is still not too late to donate to help find a cure for this dreaded disease, the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States and affects nearly six million Americans and 99,000 Minnesotans. You have until October 1, 2020 to donate toward the Becker Area Senior Center team, the “Becker Super Seniors” at: http://act.alz.org/walk .
