TO THE EDITOR:

I was pleased to read there are readers out there who feel the same way I do about the political rhetoric and opinions in the local paper. If I want information, I'll fact find through other means to learn what my senators/representatives are doing in my district. I would rather they spend their time working in a bipartisan manner in passing legislation that benefits and protects the citizens of this state, not their own or their party's interests. 

I look to my local newspaper to tell me what city government is doing and what's going on in my community. That was my hope for this newspaper but so far reporting in such areas seems to be lacking. 

As for the Editor's Note...he does have the right to edit such articles from seated politicians OR anyone else. It's done all the time.
