TO THE EDITOR:

This is the first year my wife and I have put up political signs in our yard. A couple of weeks ago we had enough snow for some people to snowmobile. Our signs were run over by a snowmobile. Somehow the neighbors signs were missed. This last Saturday night ours and the next door neighbors signs were stolen from our yards. The signs that were stolen were Biden-Harris signs. Yes we are Democrats. We are also senior citizens. My father was a union man. He served in the US Army in Korea to help keep us safe. My wife served In the US Air Force. My ancestors have served in every war since the Civil War (including the Civil War) to help preserve the Union. I would be a Republican if it were still the “party of Lincoln”. It is not. Lincoln preserved the Union. Our current president seems more interested in a “Divided States of America” than preserving the Union. We are for inclusion, not exclusion. This country was built by immigrants.

If the “1st Amendment” to the Constitution (FREEDOM OF SPEECH) doesn’t matter than where are we as a country? Are we the United States or the Divided States? Democrats have been called “radicals and anarchists” by this president. What were the people that opposed the King of England and English rule called? “PATRIOTS”. In closing I would like to point out that we have lived here over 20 years and our BEST friends are both Republican and Democrats. We all believe in Freedom.
