TO THE EDITOR:
Make Up Your Own Mind
Who ya gonna vote for at this 11th hour? Your ballot is personal, nobody else’s business. Your ballot is the only guaranteed-to-be-heard voice you have in our democracy. Because you are sacred, your vote is sacred.
But maybe you’re undecided. Even after years of endless, mind-numbing words, words, words. Who is influencing you? Where do you get your information from? Social media? Your good buddies? Your grandparents? Wise leaders and the discerning people you respect? TV & newspapers? Your Spouse? A church doctrine? A knee-jerk “thought habit” about how you’ve traditionally voted? But again, who will you vote for?
Above all, what are you focusing on? An expansive evergreen forest, one distinctive pine tree, or a thorny, axe-to-grind niggling pine cone?
So again, who ya gonna vote for at this 11th hour?
What are you waiting for? Ya don’t need any more information, sit down, be quiet, search your heart of hearts, decide for yourself. Who will make you feel safe in these dangerous times? Make up your gifted, wise mind.
