TO THE EDITOR:

 We are on the verge of an important moment in Minnesota, our state could turn red for the first time since 1972.  There are two key factors driving this change, President Trump’s policies best align with our values and former Vice President Joe Biden’s embracing of the far left.

I have lived in our state my whole life, we are god-fearing people who want to raise our children with a healthy respect for law enforcement.  Growing up, respecting law enforcement was never thought to be a controversial issue.  Never in my 40 years did I ever think it a rational possibility supporting law enforcement would ever be an issue on the ballot!

Former Vice President Biden has shown a willingness to move left on major issues to win support from the extreme wing of his party.  In a major concession, he selected the most liberal member of the US Senate according to GovTrack Kamala Harris as his running mate. Democrats are asking Minnesotans to trust a Biden/Harris ticket to support law enforcement.  After the chaos which engulfed Minneapolis earlier in the summer, that is not a risk I am willing to take.

I know President Trump fully supports our first responders because he does not pause to openly declare it.  I get it, his personality is a turn off for some people, but people should realize we have never known a President as we do President Trump.  The rallies and tweets have allowed us unprecedented access to get to know the person.

It is through that unique access that I am confident he supports protecting life, the second amendment, and law enforcement.  That is exactly what I was taught to respect growing up and why I am certain re-electing President Trump is what is best for Minnesota!
