Last week, after passing the One Big Beautiful Bill, we had the chance to participate in some great events back in Minnesota.
First, I was honored to be invited to deliver the commencement address at Spectrum High School’s Graduation Ceremony in Elk River! I was grateful to be invited and look forward to seeing what this talented class of seniors accomplishes in the future
One of the greatest honors as a Member of Congress is nominating bright young people from our district to attend our nation’s prestigious military academies. Last week, we hosted a reception with this year’s nominees and their families to celebrate their achievements and wish them well as they prepare for their service
Finally, we had the chance to recognize David Grider, posthumously, for his service to our nation. David served honorably in the United States Coast Guard. He participated in many high-risk testing operations including Operation Fishbowl and Starfish Prime and was stationed at the French Frigate Shoals during nuclear test monitoring activities. We were proud to present this long overdue honor to David’s family while in St. Francis and thank them for all he did to defend our great nation.
