Health Insurance Counselor- Serve through the Central Minnesota Council on Aging to assist Medicare beneficiaries with such things as; supplemental insurance selection, discussing Medicare Saving Programs, working with prescription assistance programs, helping individuals compare, enroll and resolve issues regarding their Medicare Part D benefits, and other forms assistance. Hours are flexible throughout the year, 18 hour training required. Training: Three September 2016 dates from 9 AM – 3:30 PM each day. St. Cloud location. Meal Service/Delivery – Volunteers are needed at the Becker Senior Dining Site to help with any and all tasks of meal service and delivery on weekdays for lunch. Meal service volunteers assist 2-4 times per month 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. Meal delivery volunteers also serve 2-4 times per month for ½ to 1 hours per delivery. Companion - Be the bright spot in someone’s day! Visit with a specifically matched resident of Shepherd of Grace Assisted Living Apartments or Memory Care once per week for about an hour. Share good conversation or a small project as you learn about one another. Time/day of visit will be matched between both the volunteer and resident’s schedules.
