Briggs Lake Chain Association General Meeting

Briggs Lake Chain Association in having their general meeting Aug. 13 at Palmer Town Hall at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come.

 

Is accepting donations of used books for its Heritage Days sale. Children’s books, books for young adults and current best sellers are especially needed for the sale. We can not accept damaged/moldy items, textbooks or magazines. Bring any items to the Clearwater Library during regular business hours. Do not use the library’s book drop. That is for library books and library materials only. All proceeds benefit the Clearwater Library. 

 

Includes first day of school for different grades, days off, early outs, choir/band concerts, field trips, wheels weeks/Wheels on Wed., Ecfe events, book fairs, picture retakes, spring pictures, conference dates, musicals, ski club, school board mtgs, PTSA meetings and events, various community events and more. Pre-purchased calendars can be picked up or purchased for $10 at the Becker Community Ed office, school offices or the Becker Community Center. They can be purchased at the Sherburne State Bank. Clearwater Area Historical Society Trolley Tours

As part of Clearwater Heritage Days celebration, the Clearwater Area Historical Society will again be giving historical tours via trollies. The tours run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sat., Aug. 6. two in-town tours are being offered and will be leaving on the half-hour from the old Coborn’s Store.  Tours will travel to sites of historic homes and businesses, the site where ferries once crossed the Mississippi River, and hear about changes happening in the old part of town.  (WOW Van) schedule for the remainder of July: Tues. July 26, 2-6 p.m. at Annandale Marketplace. Public Health Nurses provide the Wellness on Wheels services. These services include: immunizations for all ages;  screening & individual consultations for blood pressure; (fasting) lipid panel cholesterol; (fasting) diabetes;  (non-fasting) A1C diabetes; pregnancy; lead poisoning; hemoglobin and tuberculosis; home radon & well test kits; child car seat safety checks; dental health & fluoride application; general health and community  resource information. Fees & eligibility vary based on services. Join us at the Wright Co. Fair Wed., July 27 to Sun., July 31. Free services will include: blood pressures, hemoglobin A1C screenings, a nursing mothers room and diaper changing area. The Wellness on Wheels Program (WOW Van) schedule for August includes:  Thurs .
