This last weekend, the Becker youth wrestling team placed fourth out of 32 teams in St. Michael Albertville's The Brawl — the largest K-6th grade team wrestling event in the world.
The Bulldogs defeated TCU 56-24, Chatfield 36-27 and Big Lake 43-24 to advance to the winners' bracket. There, they lost to STMA 15-50 and Albert Lea 34-43 to take fourth place. Northfield won the Brawl, with STMA taking second and Albert Lea taking third.
The Bulldogs include Eli Seifert, Parker Trenz, Evan Cox, Mason Weller, Jacob Williams, Nick Kilian, Bennett Kujawa, Blayne Kuschel, Boston Kuschel, Isaac Daluge, Landen Kujawa, Kaden Nicolas, Owen Angell, Jake Rosenow, Cody Klatt, Lance Lysdal, Shain Erickson, Odin Duncombe, Blaine Cox and Tyler Hall.
They are coached by Mike Duncombe, Tim Kujawa, Matt Kuschel, Josh Williams, Josh Killian and Nate Hall.
